The staff are so down to earth n friendly. Almost all the regulars you can call them Norm or Willie..Food is great. Regardless if it a cold pitcher or beer or Sangria wine, you will be smilling..

Amazing food and some bomb a service, especially given our current rona situation! Was looking for a spot that could help my cheese craving 🤣🤣 and this was an awesome fix! I got their meatlover's pizza pillow and 5-piece wings with their house sauce, Viteks BBQ!!! It was beautiful y'all!

Best pizza ever Waco does have a few Awesome pizza places and this is one of them! They give you hugs slices but best part the box of pizza is reasonably priced! You can order online and they will have ready in no time . You never have to wait long especially if your in a hurry!

I was very impressed with how much pizza you got for your money. It tasted better than most pizza I've had in Texas, and the service was excellent.

Cant complain, great food and atmosphere to match

The pizza pillows are great, but sometimes a little greasy. Place them on a napkin to absorb some of the grease. The food and beer are both very affordable. You can get lunch for under $7. If you are in Waco, it's definitely worth a stop!!

Only give it to stars because I've only been there twice. First time, good experience. Second time, not so much. Ordered food and waited almost two hours with nothing. Ended up walking out. The bartender was a total douche, seemed proud of that fact and couldn't care less about good service. You have been warned.

I was eating breakfast in a nearby hotel and the couple next to me recommended this place and their "pizza pillows" . So me coming from Jersey "pizza heaven + NYC" I had to try them, and I was NOT disappointed! These things were amazing and so simple. Definitely worth trying if you're in town.

Great little pizza spot with great prices and a fun atmosphere. I’m sure this a popular spot with Baylor students because there are games outside, lots of outdoor seating, plenty of beer options and the prices are great! Will return for sure!

Good pizza puff pillows, salad not that great unfortunately, bland ranch, nothing special, u can skip it but the pillows r great, crust on slices great amount of toppings could b better, pretty scarce. Good deals

The food here was pretty good and cheap (which is awesome) the service was alright. They did keep my friends alchohol refilled ,but not a single soda refill :( it was also really hot and crowded. They should definitely open a second location.

Discovering this little place was like I went to Austin without having to fill the car with gas and fight that crazy traffic. Great little reastraunt! And I finally found a pizza that isn't chain cookie cutter pizza, but delicious New York style goodness! The place has a nice atmosphere and attitude and the service is very good. It's not a huge place but they have outside seating which extends the Austin vibe even more. I'm really glad I found this place, I'm definitely making this my default pizza joint.

Traveling and looking for something different and local, definitely will be back, dough is fresh and crispy. We are outside and they didn't mind our two small dogs joining us.

The pizza is amazing here! This is a must try when coming to Waco! Trust me you will not be disappointed with the food. The beer is cold and they serve it in small pitchers... cant say enough about his place you will just have to try it for yourself.

This is a Baylor/Waco favorite!!! In the four years I lived in Waco, I didn't visit any other restaurant nearly as much as I did Shorty's. Whether you're looking for a casual drink or great place to eat, LOOK NO FURTHER!Pro Tip: The Meat Lovers Pizza Pillow & a Shock Top Pitcher will have you in heaven!

I'd reccomend eating at shorty's only if you plan to dine in. I once ordered online and when I went to get my food, they had thrown it away. Then, they remade it and gave it to someone else. They finally gave me my order...which after all of that was still missing an item. I then ordered through postmates and got a pizza pillow delivered. I got a single slice of cheese pizza with a cup of marinara sauce on top. That was my last straw with this place. If I ever eat another pizza pillow, it will definitely be dine-in. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE OR THROUGH DELIVERY! Whoever manages that system is clearly inept.

I’ve been coming here for the last 6 months. I don’t go anywhere else. The food is great and the staff treats u like family. I recommend this place to all.

The pizza was good but ok. Now the wings were really good. I just wish the waitress was a little nicer, just felt that I was bothering her whenever I needed something. But with that, I will stop by whenever I drive thru Waco. Thank you for a good dinner and very affordable.

What do you get when you combine a pizza shop with a dive bar? Shorty's daily specials, menu, and drink selection is a great deal. The staff is outgoing and very inviting. It's amazing to see the diverse people that go there regularly. Remember, people go to Shorty's for the pizza and stay for the wings.

On my drive back to Austin, I stopped in Waco for a quick bite. Shorty's Pizza Shack caught my attention on the map, so I decided to stop there. Truth be told, I was no disappointed! They have daily specials (see pictures) and their pizza is super fresh. They have several beers on tap as well as canned. They have an outdoor patio (which I failed to ask if they were pet friendly). This place is owned by three Baylor alumni AND they have their diplomas up on the wall! I loved this detail. As a TCU alumna (yeah yeah yeah, I was in Baylor nation... got out as fast as I could), I truly enjoy going to places where the school spirit is off the charts. This place did not disappoint in service, food, and ambiance. I recommend going here for lunch. Perhaps avoid it during college football season because I bet it's freaking packed. But hey, great business, huh?

Delicious food! Pizza, on a scale of 1-10 is a 9. Perfect crust, sauce and ranch. If we could have a do over, I'd skip the salad and get two slices. Not because the salad was bad, but because the pizza was that good. Pizza pillow was fantastic. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 15. The dough is flavorful and cooked perfectly. Generous amount of delicious cheese. Patio is dog friendly, covered and even heated in the winter. Excellent happy hour and lunch deals. Do not pass up your opportunity to eat here!

This is what Pizza should taste like. Your Pizza should be an equal balance of toppings and dough. I wanted to lick the pan!! Oh so good, exhale! Looking forward to leftovers.

A Waco classic that is the definition of a dive bar in a good way. They have great drink specials and delicious pizza for very low prices. I always recommend a pizza pillow for a first timer, as they are delicious, cheap and unique to Shorty's.

This place is a diamond in the rough! We live in Dallas and of course come to Waco for the Magnolia empire. However, we started to want to find the local, towny spots with great food that aren’t overrun with tourists. If you’re a Baylor Bears fan (Sic ‘Em) and you love great food and a cool atmosphere, Shorty’s is your spot. The pizza pillow is out of this world. We’ve brought family and friends from out of town to Shorty’s. They agree!

Outstanding pizza and I like the option for an expresso if you want it's set up really cool with an outdoor area that is perfect for young children to stretch their leg. Great job. We will be making this a family favorite

Fan of the wings..pizza was okay..but will go back for wings!

Huband and I came by this place, just wanting to try a new place. Food was decent and reasonably priced. The service was subpar. I received my salad and my husband didn't. Then the pizza came out and still did not receive our Caesar salad or wings after reminding the waitress. We had to tell another member of the waitstaff and then finally got the rest of our food. I probably wouldn't come here again.

Some of the best pizza in town! Great New York style crust. My favorite is the marinara with the hot wing sauce in it. Wow! It’s so good. You’ve got to try it out.

The closest pizza to New York I’ve had on my trip to Waco. They also have a good collection of beers with pints cans and pitchers available. It is famous with the students of Baylor University. Overall, great taste, good atmosphere and great service.

The pizza was very good. The weather was perfect for the patio. I had the Cesar salad, Canadian bacon, jalapeño and wing sauce pizza and “the works” all very good.

Love this place - the beers come in tiny pitchers, which make me feel like a giant when drinking them! The pizza is top notch and don't sleep in the pizza pillows or the chili-cheese fries!
